Thursday, October 31, 2002 5:32pm Happy Halloween

Well its been quite awhile since I've done "quote of the day" and I just heard one that also very patriotic… "USA. I think it stands for something… US, you Assholes!" Thank you Comedy Central and the Daily Show. ^___^

Fido's cookies were stolen after Pre Cal. As Tim would say, "Crucify him!". ^^''' Let's just say you don't want Tim in your jury. Sketchbooks were due today and I didn't have all ten. I tried to make a few without looking like I did them half-assed. Apparently it worked well enough.

It's Halloween and I'm stuck writing my English essay and other homework shit. I would like to go out and just wander around but there's no one to go with. Whatever.

On a somber note, poor Ms. Saddik was all dressed up as a witch jumping out the closet and all… then she had her favorite holiday traumatized by the death of her mother this morning. ::sniff:: ;_;

Wednesday, October 30, 2002 8:40pm

Anyone else wanna drop out of college before they even go?

So, Ms. Speiser called some people down to look like she cares about where we're applying to college. I told her of my two choices and one possibility. She suggests Savannah where Alex is going! >:O Damn Alex has talent… I'm sure he got a scholarship. Blah…

This is the week from hell. Everything and anything is due this week starting today. I take that back, its missing a research paper. Damn it, I have two research papers this year. Agh, this is suppose to be an easy year! ::rips out hair:: Anyway, I have my art history essay due (which I re-stapled using my bare hands! Haha, we all had a good laugh and agree it is a must needed skill for college), study guide, sketchbook, pre-calculus test, vocabulary test, English essay and a gym test (Yes, we have written gym tests every marking period).

Funny day. =)

We have to write a story using our vocabulary words and I love Tim's idea of rambling and then write "Ms. Saddik announced your vocabulary test and listed the following terms ." ^____^ Extra points for using all twenty right? ^^'''

Lunch… If only I could remember all of it. The pervious day there was the "unicorn hair" and the ever popular "horse ass" hairstyle. Yeah, don't ask. Today, the bent chair reappeared. Poor, Ace almost sat on it. Kareen ::crosses out:: Karen hasn't worked on her butter art in awhile but she's practicing spinning her tassels. Yep, yep slowly back away. Speaking of lunch porn, we found a very interesting CK ad that Sarah would enjoy and that's all there is to say about that.

Wedge invited me to her Birthday party this year. Sweet 16… ::sniff:: What happened to the little Wedge? She's all grown up… ::sniff, sniff:: I'm not really up for a party… I'll stop by but I won't partake in the slumber party. Agh.. We're all getting old. ;_;

Next Friday I'm going to Cooper Union for an open house plus portfolio evaluation. The portfolio part is nerve wrecking. I think I have a good portfolio but not FIT wise and I don't think Cooper Union either. It's such a competitive school to get into with there 65 limit. I have a feeling that I'm going to look stupid with my portfolio when everyone else's is so very good. (Can't you tell my English is suffering with all these essays to write?) So, yeah… Got to make my work presentable. And Parsons? I don't know it if I feel like it…

Haven't felt like much anyway…

Sunday, October 27, 2002 11:27am ::scratches out:: 10:27am

Don't we just love daylight savings time and an extra hour of sleep? ^___^ Well, I just like the extra hour. I hate the darkness in the morning when I'm suppose to be up (I feel sorry for the zero period students) and the evening starting at 4, 5 o clock.

Well I just found out that my SAT scores aren't that far from the average that attend Cooper Union for art. Although they cover the $25,000 tuition, it's still expensive to live at the dorms, $14,275, and they have these fees everywhere. You have to pay them $100 to graduate. You do all that work and you have to pay them. How nice… Well they are paying the $25,000 a year.

::sighs:: Now that FIT is off the list my mom might make me apply to Parsons! Oh, I hate Parsons! GRR! ::kicks Parsons for ignoring me for the past 3 years:: >:p

College sucks. I don't even want to go. At this rate I'll be attending Montclair State University-no roommates, no roaches, and free food, the joys of living at home.

Saturday, October 26, 2002 9:07pm

This morning we were at FIT for the open house. ::gasps:: There were catalogs and brochures galore! Wonder where those are at college fairs?

I was absolutely thrilled with the fact that they do not except slides. However, everything else was a disappointment. The whole event was disorganized. There wasn’t enough room for the opening presentation. They suddenly change the room for Graphic Design, had to wait a ridiculous amount of time to see the dorms (which we didn’t bother with), and to top it off was the fact that they don’t have enough classrooms. Almost every day the location of your class is to be announced and some classes have to be in the evening because they use ad agencies as classrooms during off hours. Joy. Well that’s one less essay and home test to do.

I did see the New Residence at SVA, which were small with many roommates but lovely. So its either privacy or luxury with annoyance.

On a better note, both Devils and Toronto are winning. ^_^

Friday, October 25, 2002 8:40pm

I just came back from my grandma’s. We made some pierogis, not nearly the amount for the holidays, and with apple too! Yummy! After explaining the news and stuffing our faces, Charlie Brown was on! :D I’m such a kid. ^_^

9:29pm

GRRR! I can’t find anything on curvilinear perspective! ::rips hair out (well what’s left):: I’m going to bed. ::kicks search engines and art sites:: I have to get up to go to FIT tomorrow… It’ll probably be raining.

Thursday, October 24, 2002 7:42pm

In 2004 ten nations including Poland will be joining the EU. Isn't that nice? The United States currency gets to be second rate. ^_^ Have England join and we've be worth as much as a third world country. Fabulous, eh? Seriously though, its great that Europe is putting things behind them and be some what peaceful. Of course it could just be an elaborate plot to ally themselves and overthrow the United States causing a race to claim territories leading into World War III. I love politics. o^____^o

In non-important news, two teachers were absent (^_^) and Serom conned me into joining Year book staff. Tom went to Stevens for an interview, hopefully all goes well. Mrs. Harmon finally sent in her slide for that art thingie in Montclair. Amy didn't take her drivers test (Haha, the mirror fell!) and Karen makes some butter art and such… ya know. I can't look at butter the same way. Such is life when Karen sits at your lunch table. Oh, the mass graves between South and Central. Yeah that tarp can't fool me.

Tuesday, October 22, 2002 9:00pm

What is the world coming to? I did my homework, SVA essay is done and I apparently won a scholarship of $2,000.

Yay for only half a lab! Actually no, forget it. Half a lab means getting the results thus sill having a lab due next week but no time in class to do it. GRRRR.

I picked up my "Bumble Eye" painting and my recommendations from Jael yesterday. LOL, she wrote "Fashion school of Technology" instead of institute. ^_^ It was nice to see Jael again. Ack, when I came it was her painting and drawing class that I first took four years ago. @_@ Oh, how far I have come. ::sighs::

Sunday, October 20, 2002 2:00pm

Shopping is so depressing. ;_;

::sighs:: My art project isn't coming out the way I wanted it to. Grr… I just can't get that effect. Oh well… Its looking crappy. Diffidently last minute again. ::sighs:: I still got Monday though. Color pencil looks really bad on watercolor paper. ;_;

My brother went out last night so I did a little HTMLing. I deleted a bunch of stuff on my fortunecity account and uploaded a bit of the art section. I still have to upload the images and do some HTML.

My dlog is very boring.

Saturday, October 19, 2002 2:17pm

Agh… Everything clean except desk area… ::collapses::

I did some HTML last night for my art section. Now if only I wasn't too lazy to run back and forth from computer to computer to upload it. ^_^'' Maybe my brother will go out tonight? I want to go shopping. ::pokes mom:: Shopping?

I started water coloring my art project (Ink on watercolor paper sucks or its just old ink) and I can't do what I want it to do. Grrr. I don't know how I'll have it done for Monday. David Mack is watercolor god. Jo is another watercolor god as well as in other mediums.

::sighs::

Thursday, October 17, 2002 7:41pm

Well, yesterday was Suicidal Wednesday but not really. ::thank god for study guides:: Not only that but my test grade has yet again surprised me, another 92. Apparently this marking period is bring my GPA way up. ::crosses fingers:: I hope it'll last.

I have paragraph and a half left to write of my SVA essay which then needs major improvements. On top of that I just found out that it rolling admission! ;_; I really need to finish all my applications this month. Wow, if I actually get credit for the two AP classes I'll have about eight credits already. ::crosses fingers::

Agh… Essay, art project, college applications, slides oh my!

9:27pm

Berry is such an ass today. >:/ I can't believe HE said THAT about Cujo. ;_; Poor, Cujo, its okay. ::hugs:: It wasn't his fault. Team Canada played horribly on that first game and Toronto had three guys out which included their captain plus Carolina wasn't exactly an easy team. ::sighs:: Shut up! Cujo rules!

Monday, October 14, 2002 7:38pm

So… Monday. Everything is due on Wednesday and things just aren't done. ;_;

Umm… I finally got to reading something of Neil Gaiman's. Although, I was hoping to start with American Gods or Sandman, Stardust was still good. Agh… It's kind of something Teresa would like (but I didn't know I swear (and no its not a cheesy romance novel, it's a cheesy fantasy/romance novel ^_^'')). Yay for Tristran and the star! ::pushes Victoria:: Blah, Gaiman is a Brit! But the writing style wasn't too bad.

::waiting for Sandman to arrive at the library::

The news is too funny now. First, (well it wasn't the news but its politically connected) Desert Storm video game which I first I thought was a SNL thing, where you have to assassinate the axis of evil! Then there's the sniper where they sketch a run down van (never mind the sniper?) and they figure that he either works or doesn't feel like killing on the weekends. Not only that but (as Penny Arcade.com brilliantly illustrates) that supposedly the sniper was once a gamer so now he's violent. Right… And don't forget Cleo is in on it too with the tarot cards (BTW, did they bring pagan issues into it yet?). The depiction of Italians… Please shut up. I'm tried of hearing it. Okay, you want to be known as the Olive Garden or the Sopranos? I'd go with the Mafia look. Bush, need I say more?

We had LSD Snapple. And I thought Karen was bad when she was sober. Apparently there's another level. ^_^'' And Ami is half assing having a boyfriend. Haha, Sarah, shit foot! Tom wasn't in school today (not 1st period anyway) and Wedge had no cookies and she ditched me again. Cupcake sale and I forgot my quarter! ;_; Can't do homework want to sleep. Why do we need homework? It should be optional. It's busy work and homework doesn't count for much of our grade (WTF is 10% anyway?). ::sighs:: Life is… boring? Anyone up for a NYC trip or go see Spirited Away or something?

It's been awhile since I sang along…

Saturday, October 12, 2002 9:51pm

Hockey night, oh, its been so long! Okay three months of no hockey but its been awhile. So pathetic that Rangers team. (Damn you Holik!) Magically the Devils won. ^_^

Eeeek! Huge ugly bug was in my room yesterday climbing the blinds. @_@! The joy of having my brother home, "Mike can you kill the bug that's in my room?" And no Jane he didn't kill it. Its back outside where it belongs. :_:

Anyway, I was watching Return to Neverland, an actual decent Disney squeal. It's so sad for a Disney movie! (So, is Lilo and Stitch!) ;_; Speaking of which they have the most gorgeous water color backgrounds! ::kicks Disney::

Thursday, October 10, 2002 8:21pm

So… SATs are this Saturday and I haven't really studied much. I took a one section of the math practice test and found that I got more than half wrong. Then I found out the score sheet was referring to different questions. ::relieved:: However when I compare my answers to the correct answer sheet my score was only a little better. Sad, very sad, indeed. Well, at least I'll have no worries about my score since I already know that they're going to suck.

"Moving Out" is coming up on November 5th. We're suppose to have good seats, row C. Yippie Skippy. I want to see the Christmas tree but I don't think it'll be up by then unless Thanksgiving will be forgotten, swallowed by Christmas Season and November is lumped into December leaving only 11 months, December with 61 days. ^_^ It feels like that sometimes.

Halloween is coming up. I want to dress up just for the sake of dressing up (and maybe getting some free Reese's)! I'm gonna grab some tarot cards, a candle, and go run with the faeries under a full moon and stars. ^______^ Wouldn't Paterson Mountains be fun (with the bears trying to eat you)?!

Speaking of mountains, the first decent snowfall I'm going to Wallington to go sledding down that hill where my dad use to take my brother and I. There's this ditch there at the top, which provides a good ramp. I remember being afraid that I would fall off the sled from the jump. ^_^ And there was this one little part that went up a bit farther into the trees where some of the kids would line up so that can get more speed and such. Oh what fun, you could go all the way down to the street! :D

It's the little things in life.

9:05pm

Ah, yes, SVA yesterday… Well I didn't really know what to bring but when I take slides I'll be sure to narrow it down. ^_^''' My portfolio was good. I wish it was good enough for the scholarship which now that I think of it I wonder how much is it anyway. Agh… Must find decent scholarships. So, at this point I believe I can get into the three schools I have chosen (free education at Cooper Union is a lost cause). I wonder how things went with Chari? She never did email me back about her interview but than again she's very busy getting an hour or two of sleep and all. (I told her that whole lack of sleep = death thing ^_^'') I hope she gets in.

Can't you tell I'm bored (posting twice in one day)? Well, actually I plan to go to sleep early and I just remember that SVA thing. ::sighs:: Oh yeah! Montclair Art Museum called asking me to pick up my artwork before they throw it into the cement with Britt and the other bodies. ^_~

Monday, October 07, 2002 8:11pm

It's so beautiful out. The perfect night just to go for a walk, sit on the swing (::sniff!::), or hanging out with Tiger. ^_______^ Tiger was all cute 'n fluffy! She tried to kill me twice today though.

No Painter this weekend… Not like I had any artwork scanned in to use (you can only used Sion so many times.). Saturday I was in NYC with my brother and my mom. Subways suck on the weekends. I was thinking of taking A but the lady at the info thingie said to take C but the problem was that it was only running Express not local, which of course our stop was, a local one. So, someone said to switch over to B but there was no B since it was really D. Thank god, getting home was easier since we just had to take C back. ::sighs:: My feet hurt after that but I did take some good pictures. Hehe, my brother said I should be a photographer. ^_^ ::hearts digital cameras::

Sunday my brother went to the Pulaski Day Parade and my dad was yelling at me about why I didn't go. Why am I going to go with them when they're going to go get plastered and attempt to get some Polish girls. Karen would say "Duh, liquor, go get wasted!" and Sarah would say, "Duh, liquor and hot Polish guys who are wasted!" ^__^ Anyway, I was the only one who went to my grandma's for pierogis (sp. is so wrong) and not only that but with mushrooms too! ::was in heaven:: But, ya know, they taste better when I help make them (for once food that I touch doesn't taste bad.) only since I'm better with tasting the filling. ^_^''' Then, we watched figure skating and I discussed politics with my grandfather. I like to come there by myself or at least without parental units so that there's no one yelling at each other. ::sighs and pokes window::

Afterwards, my parents and I went to Wedge's house. We played Atari-Pitfall, Winter Games, and Asteroids. This is truly the test of a gamers' skill and patience. I will no longer claim to be a skilled gamer let along one at all. I could not handle the controller. Damn piece of--- Well I can't diss Atari. Asteroids is so much fun. I'm horrible at it but its just so fun. We put it on expert, which is ridiculous but entertaining. Did I mention it was fun? ^_^ Oh, and the cookies. Yum.

CCD is… Annoying? I don't know… I don't want to do it but what are you suppose to say to Sister Joan? I tell ya Satan pops out and take you to hell. ^^'' Anyway, it's being really busy and I can't remember any of the teachers names. I'm lucky that I remember what grade is where. I must be the worst volunteer yet. However, what really sucks is what's happening to this world. You need an ID for CCD class. A fucking ID for a religious education class! (Heh, no one is going to try to sneak in… when they're all trying to get out. ^_~) Hello, Bush get your head out of Iraq's ass and do something about this now pathetic country. LOL, I finally figured out that "Bush Nazi" thing last week. ^_^

SVA is coming on Wednesday (that's the 9th right?) and will be looking at portfolios which I'm grateful to see how my art compares since I always see those slides of other portfolios and they're so good! Agh, college… I'm SO behind on it! ::bangs head:: I'm behind on everything…! ::sighs:: SATs next week/ this Saturday/ whatever, I'm going to go down again. ::bangs head:: Hate this.

Prettyful outside…

Thursday, October 03, 2002 9:24pm

Three words… Corel Painter Seven! ::can't wait for the weekend to play!:: :DDDD

Wednesday, October 02, 2002 8:26pm

Well, I finished taking pictures for my project and I took some notes for art history. Speaking of which, my brother wants me to take him to the MET for his art history project. The project is pretty easy- pick a piece of art or two and write three pages of your opinion on it. The lucky bastard only has half the art history crap that I do. T_T ::sighs::
